A Little Teaser....

Summer Sorbet. The name evokes wonderful images of tasty frozen treats being enjoyed during a beautiful breezy warm summer day. It also brings to mind one of the newest dresses by the amazing Anita Claven of The Avici Co.

I am partial to this dress for several reasons, the name being obvious, but also the color's and the detail on the waist. I love this dress so much. Its darling and has become a staple in my closet.

A Lady can't go wrong when wearing Chiffon. The breezy, silky feel of Chiffon just drips luxury and elegance in any setting. Avici's Dotted Chiffon dress is so cute and well done. This dress is so cute paired with a belt and a pair of heels. Add a floppy hat and your ready for brunch with the girls or a day at the races. It is what I call a sleeper...the more you wear it the more you become attached. It just starts to grow on you.

Avici has also come out with a seriously cute summer outfit that works really well for beach parties. Blue China has a touch of elegance and a flair for fun. The sassy off the shoulder top and hint of skin at the mid-driff is perfect for those shy girl's with a secret bad girl hidden away and the skin tight mini skirt finishes this look off flawlessly.

You can find the full photo shoot featuring these three amazing outfits by The Avici Co. on my flickr site under the The Avici Co. photo set.

Avici Co.

"It was a hot steamy night in the city. I first peeped the long legged beauty standing on the balcony, her hat pulled jauntly to the side saying everything you needed to know about her...
the girl was trouble...."

I decided for my first "real" post about my journey into the fashion world that is Second Life, I would cover something that is very dear and near to my little heart. Vintage my dear reader's, I love everything that is Vintage. The clothing, the language, the formality and civility that comes to mind when one think's of the early 19th century. I see classic beauties in curve hugging skirts, I see hat's pulled jauntly to the side. Vintage can mean a different era's to different people, in this post I am refereing to the 20's - the 40's. The Jazz Era threw Pre Rock n Roll that belongs to the amazing 50's.

It is really no suprise that I decided to feature the amazing Anita Claven for this post. I am after all the store manager for her store. I do want to make it clear that even though I know Anita (she is darling by the way...) and I do work for Avici Co. (a great store by the way...) I will at no time try to "push" any designer on you my dear reader's. As stated in the first post on this blog, Letter's to No One is simply my personal journey into what fashion is on Second Life.

When Anita came out with this skirt, I won't lie, I wasn't 100% sold. The skirt itself is a darling piece with a shimmery look that is perfect for nights out to the Jazz Clubs. I am just on the smaller side. Think very waif like. Once I modded my shape (I have several copies of my shape for just this reason) I started to really love the look. As I slowly pulled the outfit together I just fell more in love with the skirt. I must say that it is hard to take this outfit off. It has already become one of my favorites.

Look it's...GIRL INFINITY

Hello there, my name is Syren Sorbet. I've been a resident of Second Life sense October of 2008. I've been quitely reading the life and style blogs that saturate Second Life for the last few years. I suppose one could say that I have decided to further saturate the already well covered market that is life and style in Second Life.

I can only hope that these letters to no one will give a some what unique look at what style is on a personal level. I roam the grid looking for interesting builds, people and yes even moments. I am supprisingly very shy but not to shy to say hello to someone. Currently most of my time in Second Life is spent making new friends and partaking in new adventures!

I am also the Store Manager of The Avici Company, a would be "untrained" model, a photographer of sort's, and probably most importently a random button pusher and pose tryer outer. Is that even a real phrase? Well I suppose it is now in the world of that crazy girl infinity.

I own an island that I spend much of time on, usually fishing or buzzing around shooting at random objects in my Warbug Plane. I would get further into what I enjoy doing on the island but Im afraid it would sound like a bad personal ad that can be found in a trashy newspaper. Think walking on the beach and horse back riding. Both fun but horriably cliche' at the same time.

The only thing I can say with any shadow of certanity is that you can expect a fishbowl glance into the world of fashion as it means to me. I won't be covering major event's as there are countless blogs that do only that. Letter's to No One will be very personal and follow trends that mean something to me. I can also say that this will all be done with humor and love for fashion in all it's whacky wonderful forms.
